Found the yellow version of the Reiziger "The Kitten Becomes A Tiger" LP. Cool thing about it is that it is an early number. Will look fine next to my red vinyl copy. Not sure if there are other colors?
Reiziger was a Post-Hardcore band from Belgium that released three 12 inches on Genet Records. Their sound can be compared to Fugazi and Sensefield but that doesn't do it full justice. Their post Hardcore sound is something totally of their own and unique. They played the Vortn' Vis Hardcore festival in 1998 so they have … Continue reading Reiziger
The record in this post is one I din't know the existence of up until I saw it for sale on Discogs. I already own the cassette version and the red vinyl version. This one has a limited cover and black vinyl and was made by the band. There is an unusual history behind this … Continue reading Out For Blood 1996 demo
Back when Good Life Recordings were at their peak of production, they released the vinyl versions for some Trustkill Records releases. Trustkill had some releases that were CD only releases in the States, so Belgium's Good Life Recordings created the vinyl versions. Bands included are Poison The Well, Most Precious Blood, Brother's Keeper, Eighteen Visions, … Continue reading Shai Hulud and Another Victim split LP
Short review of Firestone's second album with a new singer and altered sound. Released in the year 2000 by Genet Records.
Most of you know that I collect Good Life Recordings releases on vinyl. And most of you probably relate that label to Edge-Metal and Metalcore in general. Hardcore message with a strong metal influence in the music. Those are the genres I grew up with in the 90's. Oddly people like me love the mix … Continue reading Dying Fetus "Destroy The Opposition" LP
How much pleasure I have when just seeing this record. Every Good Life Recordings compilation has his charms. And just breaths the atmosphere of a lively label that was the epicenter of things happening in the world of Hardcore. This one's is number 4 but personally I like volume 2 the most. One that hasn't … Continue reading The Good Life #4
Today I present you a record from the Good Life catalog again. The EIGHTEEN VISIONS LP called "Until The Ink Runs Out" was a cooperation between Good Life and Trustkill. One of their many cooperations. At first listen the structure of their songs sounds more complex than the usual Good Life release. I'm not so … Continue reading EIGHTEEN VISIONS Until The Ink Runs Out LP
Two missing colored Good Life Recordings LPs found in Germany recently. I don't know that much about them so I feature them together in one post. My Good Life label and sub-labels collection is becoming quite vast it seems. Should count about 60 12 inches at least, haven't listed them, so I can't know exact … Continue reading GLR: xDisciplex and Spread The Disease LPs
As it were yesterday I remember the kids walking around proud wearing Arkangel merch at Good Life Fests back in the late 90's. Brussels seemed so far away and different than the trusted H8000 area. Vocalists from H8000 bands seemed to care more about the well-being of kids in the moshpit than vocalists from BXL … Continue reading ARKANGEL Dead Man Walking LP
